"Our Late Night Conversation"

Before our conversation starts with hi!
Now it seems that every word is all about goodbye.
We're forcing everything to look fine.
But we both know that all of these are lies with fake smiles.

I remember when we used to be so sweet.
So many conversations that we can't go to sleep.
Late night topics, we're both glad.
But now, even a single message is not popping out, it so sad.

How did we turn into this mess?
When before, we are thankful to have each other, feeling blessed.
How did we become perfect strangers?
When before, we know everything about each other.

I'll be honest with you;
These past few days I'm missing you.
You left me hangin', feeling blue;
Exactly the day that I fell inlove with you.

Then the moment of truth came;
The moment of clarify that made me insane.
You told me you like me, that's it;
Words that put me into heaven, but wait...

You like me, you said.
But you don't want to be with me,
And just focus on your studies instead.
It seems like you put me on cloud 9, for a short period of time.

After I watched this movie adaptation from the 1st best selling books of Bob Ong's ABNKKBSNPLAko?! I was happy that my favorite Bob Ong book will be adapted into a movie because of how it tells the story of the Filipino student, how they cheats in class, how they become a teacher's pet and a teacher's enemy, and being late in every class. "Lapis" Dilaw, mahaba at pula ang dulo, unang panulat na ginamit ko sa aking kwaderno. Madalas ito ang palagi kong hawak, laging nag-iisip kaagapay ng malawak kong utak. Salamat sa lapis dahil ikaw ang aking naging sandata, sanadata upang makagawa ng tula tungkol sa ating dalawa. Lapis na kahit saan ay lagi kong bitbit, para pag may mga pagkakataon ako mukha mo naman ang aking maiguhit. Pero bakit kung kaylan ikaw na ang aking inspirasyon, bigla naman nawala ang iyong atensyon. Ang magagandang araw na sana ay napalitan ng lungkot, mga araw na para bang nakakaiyamot. Ang larawan mo na pinipilit kong binubuo, ay hindi ko na alam kung ano ang magiging dulo. At ang tula nating dalawa na lagi kong sinusulat ay naging magulo at di maintindihan ang sukat. "Kapwa ko kaibigan" Ang pagmamahal ko sa kanya Ay walang kaparis, Walang sobra, walang labis. At di rin nagmamalabis. Ang aking kapwa ay maasahan. Siya ay itinuring ko nang kaibigan, Dumarating sya sa oras ng kagipitan, Mapuntahan lamang ang kaibigan. Ano mang suliranin ang dumating, 'Di nito masisira ang pagkakaibigan natin. Ano mang paninira nila sa atin, 'Di ko na papansinin. Ano man ang sabihin ng iba, 'Di ako maniniwala sa kanila. Pagkat sa ating dalawa, Mananaig ang pagkakaibigan diba?
