Reaction Paper about ABNKKBSNPLAko?! A Movie Adaptation
After I watched this movie adaptation from the 1st best selling books of Bob Ong's ABNKKBSNPLAko?! I was happy that my favorite Bob Ong book will be adapted into a movie because of how it tells the story of the Filipino student, how they cheats in class, how they become a teacher's pet and a teacher's enemy, and being late in every class.
Roberto is thinking if he is going to attend his highschool reunion since he does not want to deal with his former classmates who probably have better careers that he has now and he doesn't want to see his special someone who broke his heart years after they met. But his friends Putol and Portia tells him that there's nothing to be ashamed on his life.
In my opinion about the ABNKKBSNPLAko?! Is that when you read the book there are certain threads that we're discussed but didn't translate well on the screen. And there are lines that we're almost a word-per-word copy from the book. The performance of the whole cast are generally okay as you can see how good and hardworking the cast we're.
There are two things that I can say about ABNKKBSNPLAko?! First, the movie was entertaining because it appears natural in our daily lives and how Filipino students strives for their education. Lastly, it was dissappointing because the movie focused on the romance more than the school-based aspect itself.
I appreciate the story on how they adapted it into a movie. However, it is not a bad film maybe it just focused on the wrong angle of the story and did not focused on the main topic of this movie adaptation.
